Refund Policy
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. All returns must be made within 30 days of the original purchase date, and incur a 25% restocking fee. This fee can sometimes be waved if you are going to purchase an item from the same manufacturer (like if the wrong size was ordered), but not always. These are subject to the manufacturers return policy. Only in stock items are returnable. Special order items may not be returned. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
Cancelling orders before the items are shipped out will incur the cost of the Credit Card fee which ranges between 2.9% to 3.9%. Unfortunately this can't be refunded.
We do not refund shipping costs. The customer must pay for return shipping.
To start a return, you can contact us at sales@communitylightingsupply.com . If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. The customer will cover the cost of return shipping.
Some of our items are on backorder. Some have lead times of over 2 months. We try as best we can to let you know about expected lead times on applicable pages. Please note that backorder and lead times can change without notice, but we try to keep you informed as much as possible.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:
* Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if you notice any defects, damage, or if you receive the wrong item. To address any issues promptly, we require that you notify us within 7 days of the shipping date for any missing components, damage, or defects. This ensures we can evaluate the issue and take the necessary steps to make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as any fixture larger than 4 feet, aluminum LED tape channels larger than 4 feet, custom products (such as special orders). Seasonal Items, like Christmas lighting. Rough In Plates. These are some of the items that can't be returned. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items, which include clearance items, or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
